Radio Caribe on 1220 is transmitting with 10 kW (according to WRTH) but is not heard that often, even though, every now and then during better openings towards Cuba. The transmitter site is located in La Fe-Nueva Gerona, located by the coast, in the north-eastern area of Isla de la Juventud south of the northwestern part of the Cuban mainland.
Going through my older files I found that I had not reported my logging of R Caribe on January 28, 2010 (LEM290 expedition). I sent a Facebook message including an mp3 to the station and this was instantly confirmed. Gracias Radio Caribe!
