Rádio Mais was heard during a good opening towards the southern states of Brazil on February 22, 2015. The station has been heard in the Nordic region every now and then but is definitely not the dominant SA on this frequency. R Rural, Porto Alegre is the QRG’s definite dominant and also R Tupinambá, Sobral, CE is a more frequently logged station here. In addition both Argentinian Emisora Santiago y Copla and La Deportiva, Lambaré, Paraguay have been logged several times during the last year. I received a short confirmation via Facebook. Thanks for the hint Gert Nilsson!
During a good Brazil-opening on November 6, 2013 (LEM333) Rádio Pitaguary was heard with a nice TOH id on 1340. Jari Ruohomäki (JPR) was the first one to catch this in October 2007 and the station has been logged every now and then since then. 1340 is not the easiest frequency for Brazilians. However, a few other stations have been logged during the past 10 years, such as CBN Porto Alegre RS and R Clube de Sâo Luis MA. In the 60’s and 70’s 1340 used to be the home of R Guaraní, Belo Horizonte, MG which in those days was one of the most common AM Brazilian stations. Guaraní nowadays resides on 1190 where it is a very rare catch.
I received a FB message from Pitaguary.
Radio São Francisco was first logged in Finland by Håkan Sundman and Jim Solatie during the LEM246-pedition in October 2007. This station located in Canindé, in the northern part of Ceará is often logged on the interesting frequency 1240, The station is usually one of the first Brazilians to appear early in the evenings around 2200 +- UTC. I surprisingly got a Christmas greeting and confirmation via Facebook on a report from November 2013. Muito obrigado RSF!
ZYH243 Rádio Imaculada Conceicão In Maceió, AL was heard on 1320 on November 4, 2013 in Lemmenjoki early in the evening, around 2230 UTC with an unusual local ID. This station is carrying programs from IPDA and MIL as is another station on the frequency, namely Rádio Mucurí, Teófilo Otoni, Minas Gerais. Quite often, and probably ZYH243, has been heard here, but not with a local ID but merely giving the IPDA chain ID where several stations carrying the IPDA format are mentioned. I received a short Facebook message confirming my mp3 audio file from Maceió.
Rádio Novo Milênio is a new station that has appeared on 1540. The station is owned by Igreja Pentecostal Deus é Amor and the transmitter site is located in Sertãozinho, SP close to the city of Ribeirão Preto. During the last couple of years ZYH611 R San’Ana in Tianguá, CE, relaying Aparecida-programs, har probably been the most common one here. However the frequency holds a los of Brazilians of which 10+ stations have been logged in the Nordic countries. R Novo Milênio was heard on, e.., October 20 and 24, in Lemmenjoki. The TOH ID goes like: “A Identificacão: Voce sintonizar Rádio Novo Milênio, 1540 kiloherzios , 24 horas no ar falando do Amor de Deus. Rádio Novo Milênio, Sertãozinho, São Paulo”. A FB message confirmed my reception.
After a cx-vise mediocre 10 days in Lemmenjoki (LEM345) between October 16-25.2014 together with Pertti Äyräs (PÄ) now back home listening to clips from the evening of Oct 16 when some nice Aussies were heard. These are out-of scope of this blog.
I yesterday surprisingly got a Facebook verification on an old follow-up from LEM258 (logged January 30.2008) to ZYH672 Rádio Vento Leste, Aracatí, CE. The station is nowadays known as Rádio Moría and as far as I know the station under it’s new name has not been reported heard in Finland. The probably most common Brasilian on 1320 nowadays is Rádio Regional, Sobral also in Ceará.
Rádio Gazeta, Vitória, ES is maybe the most common Brazilian heard on 820 in Lemmenjoki every season. After several tries via email I finally sent a message to the station via Facebook and this time I was lucky to get a confirmation. The frequency 820 holds all in all around 25 different Brazilians so it is a frequency to be regularily checked during better openings.
This unlisted Brazilian was heard on September 6, 2014 here in Borgå playing slow soft music and giving an YL time check at 0302 UTC followed by a weak ID. Apparently closed down at 0303 since the signal disappeared. Thanks to PEH for the hint to check this. The station answered promptly with an email giving their web address as http://www.radioparaenseam.com.br. The mail signed by Equipe da Rádio Paraense AM declared that me and my family was welcome to visit them if we ever came to Brasil and that they would do everything to make our stay a pleasant one!
Rádio Rondônia transmitting from the municipality of Pimenta Bueno, Rondônia which is located along the BR-364 at Km 507, south of the state capital, Porto Velho. Rádio Rondônia 1480 AM has been heard at some occasions in the Nordic countries. My own logging was made during LEM334 on October 13, 2013. A nice confirmation was recently received. Muito obrigado Rádio Rondônia!
ZYH503 Rádio Regional, Cicero Dantas, BA 1320 was heard in Lemmenjoki on November 7, 2013 with a TOH ID. Usually R Regional, Sobral in Ceará is heard here in addition to R Tropical of Curitiba, Paraná and CBN Foz do Iguacu, Paraná, tehese three being to most frequently reported Brazilians on this frequency in Scandinavia. I got a short FB message from Regional, Cicero dantas confirming my hearing.
